Illustrator & Transit Enthusiast

Illustrator & Transit Enthusiast Online

Your curiosity can lead to a pathway of advocacy - growing up as a child who took transit in both her home city and abroad, I loved learning the routes and seeing where they took you. What you discover is that transit is a city service that teaches you about other aspects and issues in your city, from accessibility to houselessness. The more I learned about transit, the more I wanted to talk about it, and eventually advocate for improvements. I become a civic board member for the City of Edmonton ETS Advisory Board from 2020 to 2024. My background and expertise is in visual arts, illustration, and design, which I also love to apply to reviewing transit related design.
My story is about how advocacy can come from the small sprout of interest, and how I use art and design to express and amplify it.
